Swans had prime time matches on main channel this year. Heck, gws on main channel last night & only got 54k.

314k in total Freddy boy. Fox no longer do city breakdowns but working of percentages I would say another 60/70k in Melb my friend.

Swans had prime time matches on main channel this year. Heck, gws on main channel last night & only got 54k.

So i went back to the data. the Swans were on prime time in Sydney on a saturday night on the main channel exactly twice - for 73,000 and 87,000. and on a friday night once for 81,000. None of which were finals.

The Swans first final in 2018 rated 109,000 in Sydney.

This weekends figures could be interesting. Last time GWS made a prelim it rated 162,000 in Sydney in 2016 (the same weekend the swans rated 103,000)

Of the 3 games one was "big" derby with gws on Saturday with no competition from NRL or wallabies. Friday one was against women's state of origin which went 60 mins yet got almost triple the rating.
Don't recall the other one.

As I have said before - if you had one choice re: Friday night footy and had to broadcast it nationally on the one channel - you are picking AFL over the NRL every time. Same goes with finals.

Come on Freddy......I've explained this before.......repeatedly!!!!!!! If you're a sponsor and you want to advertise into Sydney & Brisbane you go to RL broadcasts because they win their time slot 99.9% of the time. If you want to advertise in Melbourne and desert states you go with the southern game.
