AFL can't fudge! It's impossible! So stop ******* lying and make your NRL **** wits do the right thing and count the crowd PROPERLY like the AFL do! Or don't they have the ******* guts because they know they'll lose numbers like they ******* should!!
They've been busted fudging the figures that many times year after year that it wouldn't matter. The NRL has no credibility and no one takes seriously their crowd numbers. They are a joke. Plain and simple.

Many league team play out of Stadiums, they dont own there own grounds. So why would the stadiums be boosting crowd figures? Those that do have home grounds are smaller and quiet often packed - Liechardt , Woolongong etc.
Just as we saw last week and all season this year on the Gold Coast, the Titans play out of a stadium managed by Stadiums Queensland and again they've been caught fudging the figures. Stadiums Queensland has asked the Titans for a please explain for good reason. The NRL and it's clubs are pathetic and put simply cannot be trusted when it comes to crowd figures.

Oh dear, what has happened to that mighty Sun's following last week reported crowd of 23,302, this week 17482. I guess the St Kilda following isn't as big as Collingwood's. What kind of crowd will the Sun's get when they play someone who isn't traveling as well in the AFL comp.

Saints score unimpressive win over Suns

Gold Coast July 30, 2011

ST KILDA 3.5 6.7 8.11 10.14 (74) GOLD COAST SUNS 1.3 3.10 4.14 6.18 (54)
Goals: St Kilda: S Milne 3 B Peake 2 D Polo J Koschitzke J Steven N Dal Santo T Lynch. Gold Coast Suns: D Stanley D Swallow G Ablett H Bennell J Harbrow Z Smith.
Best: St Kilda: J Steven N Dal Santo S Fisher B Peake J Gram S Milne. Gold Coast Suns: N Bock G Ablett R Thompson J Taylor J Harbrow D Prestia.
Umpires: Stuart Wenn, Michael Jennings, Shane McInerney. Official Crowd: 17,482 at Gold Coast Stadium.

St Kilda scored an uninspiring 20-point win over a wayward kicking Gold Coast tonight to push deeper into AFL finals territory.

The Saints' threatened to blow the game open a number of times but had to settle for a 10.14 (74) to 6.18 (54) victory at Metricon Stadium.

Fuck off! It was 17K! AFL clubs have NOTHING TO FUCKING DO with the crowd figures. NRL clubs have EVERYTHING to fucking do with crowd figures. Therein lies the fucking problem!

As for you, Sleeper, wake up and smell the fucking coffee. 17K is still more than the NRL fucking average! If your stupid fucking game got more crowds like the Suns got you'd be over the fucking moon!

How is a crowd of more than 17k somehow a bad result? You seen the Titans average crowds this season?

Gold Coast = AFL heartland

Oh dear, why do we always have to spell things out for you AFL types. Beau puts a pic of the crowd that somehow is meant to sell the idea that the Suns are doing well on the Gold Coast and expound the idea of "See how great the Suns are, they got 23000 to their game.

The truth was that that amount of people went to see them play Collingwood not to see them. It was clear when they played a lesser team (all be it the other grand finalist from last year) they drew only 17000.

The point I am making is that nobody likes to go and watch a losing team and when the Suns play a lower placed team in the comp you will get even fewer. So a one off like the Suns playing Collingwood and drawing a reasonable crowd does not make them a team that's made it. Let's see if in 5 years if they survive (if the AFL keeps pumping money into them) how they will be faring.

The first couple games the Titans played this year at home against the Dragons and the Broncos drew crowds of 20000+ as they lost games their crowds dropped. The Suns had a big crowd at the Gabba at the start of the season and as they have lost their crowds drop also.

Mr Mark, you fail to note that the Broncos playing not far away would draw much support for the visiting team. You also fail to note that the Suns were already down near the bottom of the AFL ladder when they played Collingwood and have no chance of making the finals. And yet the game still drew 23,000 people. Have the Titans played the Storm as of yet at home this season?

The reality is that even though they lost, the Suns impressed the visiting top side with their endeavour. They will be a very good side in the next couple of years according to experts, and whilst I still believe predicting the future is a game only fools play I would tend to listen to experts rather than to armchair critics like those on this forum.

The Titans have now resorted to trying to pay fans to come to games. :(/

Times are tough on the Gold Coast now that the Suns have arrived and are dominating the marketplace in crowds, memberships, sponsorship you name it.
$5k cash giveaways at Titans home games
Emma Greenwood | July 18th, 2011

THE Titans have given fans plenty of incentive to get behind their team for the remainder of the season, launching a $20,000 cash giveaway and Home Stretch Membership Package.

What's more hilarious is the fact that the NRL is thinking about expansion in the already over saturated QLD marketplace where the Titans are clearly not sustainable and have to resort to paying fans to attend games. #-o
