AFL is too soft for the Russians but they do play Rugby League.

Never even knew they played it there. Was a couple of players with decent skills such as being able to side step and flick pass.
All though still a very amateur sport in Russia.

Definitely some decent players there. Thinking atleast a few of are expats. But, from my experience playing and viewing AFL in Europe I can tell everyone that the level of rugby league in russia is far higher than the level of any AFL played in Europe. Pretty much for sure.

Yeah is hard to tell. I think Rugby League would go down well in Russia as a spectator sport.

They do the exact same thing in league! Except with out an opponent tackling them & from 6 meter side ways throws whilst jogging in a forwards direction with a larger rubber ball, not a leather one & with grips on the ball to control it better

They competed at the 2018 Euro Cup. Allegedly 5 teams or so in country.
