I mean don’t get me wrong. There’s many good folk who follow AFL but, as we’ve discussed before there appears to be a higher percentage of racists present within AFL crowds and crowd violence appears to be the worst in the history of any code or pro sporting crowds in Australian history.

The reality is AFL crowds have more scum in em than a junkies bathtub. There’s literally 10s to 100s of thousands of em who were happy to boo a champion out of the game because he stood against racism. Attacking women and the elderly is not off limits for some of the blokes who rock up and now we can add to the list, people with disabilities. Theyre also not safe in AFL crowds. Pretty sure kids would’ve copped attacks as well in the last few years.

It’s a cultural issue. I’m not sure how it should be best addressed. But... it’s a disgusting stain on the culture of the game that has likely been grown through the afls inaction or weak stance on issues of significance such as Eddie McGuire’s and Sam Newman’s repeated disgusting discriminatory supposedly ‘off the cuff’ remarks, players finding it amusing to light people with dwarfism on fire for fun, reverence of past great players who have vile criminal backgrounds etc etc etc.

Nlol senior is the only AFL fan who deserves respect for his response in this thread. The rest of yas are part of the problem, too weak to stand against it, pathetically turning to ‘de cwowds’ once again
