Re: The AFL Looking after there grassroots!
It's a simple question .
Haves v have nots
The haves are telling the have nots they don't deserve what they have .
Seeing as you are one of the haves with the luxury of having a home team... The simple question is if the roles were reversed would you still be following the AFL script ?

I dont own a ferarri. Someone who owns a ferrari will look at my resources and say I shouldnt own a ferarri. If the roles were reversed I would agree with him.AFLcrap1 wrote: Sat Dec 29, 2018 8:07 amIt's a simple question .

If I was a Tasmanian I would agree with the decision because its common fucking sense. Just like this guy agrees https://www.theadvocate.com.au/story/51 ... -AFL-team/
It's not as simple as haves and have nots. You must take into account the reasons why the haves have and why the have nots dont. Melbourne has the population and the economy to sustain many clubs, Hobart does not.

Re: The AFL Looking after there grassroots!
furthermore, how is this an AFL script? Why wouldnt the AFL want a team in Hobart if they could sustain one?AFLcrap1 wrote: Sat Dec 29, 2018 8:07 amIt's a simple question .

Re: The AFL Looking after there grassroots!
Because it's been the AFL script for ages .
They plonked teams in non heartland areas ...unasked for unwanted teams ....in places that already had a team to follow .
Lol at you agreeing if you were Tasmanian .
Anyone can say that when they are in the opposite camp .

Re: The AFL Looking after there grassroots!
If The GC could support a Viable team the AFL would do it in a heartbeat.
Oh wait on they're not viable .in fact they are a black hole with money getting swallowed by the millions .
& there was already a team just up the road ..& get this ..it's not even AFL heartland .
Yet the AFL plonked an unasked unwanted team there .

& you really think that GIl has the brains to do that.
Same as Vlad they have their personal agendas & won't budge .
He doesn't give a fuck about Tas AFL or fans
Lol,
He won't admit when things are an abject failure
Just look at AFLs freak show .
Look at the lies he tells to cover up the China failure
So he just trots out the not viable line which is lapped up by braindead like you .
Yet the Gc isn't viable but that's ok ..
You lot are all fucked in the head .

Re: The AFL Looking after there grassroots!
And that is the jist of it. The AFL would rather spend their money on expansion clubs because they form a major part of their expansion strategy, than prop up a heartland club where the population already follow existing clubs.
Call it what ever you want, but thats the strategy theyve chosen

Re: The AFL Looking after there grassroots!

AFL average 2018 crowds in Hobart for teams that don’t belong there, and one of the most boring run of the mill AFL clubs north Melb playing in each game equal the avg of gdubbya es after ahem, seven years of ahem ahem AFL ‘expansion’
Great strategy don’t ya think nlol? Really smart stuff

And if you look closely at the Hobart crowds for 2018 their averages are dropped markedly by very low attendances when gws play!

And listen, I know first hand just who supports gws. It’s basically a bunch of current or ex swans fans. I must admit back in 2012 when g dubbya started I was very in the know of who was starting the gws cheer squad and... low and behold it was a bunch of disgruntled ex swans fans

The AFL...One of the most poorly run businesses in Australia, if not the world

Re: The AFL Looking after there grassroots!
Yes their crowds are much lower when the giants play in Tassie, proving these crowds are predominantly made up of travelling fans from interstate, not locals. They just dont have the population to support a local club.
Thanks for proving my point KE lol

Re: The AFL Looking after there grassroots!
By the way folks, just confirming:
Population west Sydney - 2,000,000
Population Hobart - 200,000
Nlol, can you please say the three words you’ve been repeating for us all in this bread just one more time please? You know the ones? “AFL expansion strategy”

Re: The AFL Looking after there grassroots!
I love the way he presumes that the population have a team & there's not enough to support a Tas team .
How does he know that plenty won't adopt the Tas team as their second team & go to watch ...seeing as if they follow othervteams they might get to see them play 0 times a year .
Follow the AFL script
The leader is alway right

Re: The AFL Looking after there grassroots!
Let's apply loler logic to WA
West Coke eagles founded in 86 .
Freemantle founded in 94 .
Why was freemantle allowed in to the AFL
There was already a club for Wa people to follow but more importantly those who didn't would have already had a club in the AFL .
So why why why .

Nlol?

Ok nlol, I’m not sure if you Understand but gws draw mammothly lower crowds wherever they fly!

If the AFL put a tassie or a Darwin side in fans from interstate would be interested to attend. Why? Because these teams have local legitimacy, they got people who like the game and people who play the game. They take it seriously in other words nlol. Everyone knows gws was a fuckup from day dot

Meanwhile the AFL continue to pour their hard earned tv contract dollars into bottomless pits of gdubbya and the Thuns whilst legitimate states and territories get shafted.
