I don't expect big tv numbers.

10,253 crowd tonight in Adelaide and commentators suggesting 20,000 tickets sold for tomorrow night in Melbourne.

TV ratings will be interesting to see. Doubt they’ll be huge though for a new version of game with very little promotion and up against ratings juggernauts like MKR, Winter Olympics etc.

Judging what I saw last night> it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.
I think AFLX will stick around>
the only question is

when is the right time to play it.. and how big can it get..

As I said Beau, add some Benny Hill music and the AFL could be looking at the smash hit comedy hit of the year

I love AFL but I thought AFLX was pretty crap.

I put it on for 10 mins & had to turn it off. Like womens footy its just not that good.

I cant wait for the real stuff to start in 6 weeks though

it felt like a training drill and it was broadcast on tv..

I wonder if the Storm v Leeds game tonight can out rate and outdraw the AFLX game
which consists of 6 Melbourne AFL clubs..

Looks like the WCC game is on the Ch9 main channel in Melbourne while the Xmess is on the Ch7 secondary channel. The WCC will win the overall ratings but it will be interesting to see how the Storm go against the Xmess in Melbourne.
