She told me this is a pic of Brendon Fevola early in his career due to his slighter build and hair cut.

So you posted a pic from at least 15 years ago and try to pass it off as relevent. Shame on you.

I went to several massively attended matches in Melbourne THIS year and i'm telling you BECAUSE I WAS THERE looking around at these games the crowd was close to 50/50. I repeat CLOSE TO 50/50.

The attached pic is from this year. And i know this because Richmond changed the shade of yellow they use and you can clearly see the difference in some of the merchandise worn in this pic.
This pic is relevant. See the difference?

Going to games in Melbourne which by the way is so easy. One tram drops me at the door. I'm constantly amazed at the crowd demographic. It's got to be close to 50/50. No other league comes close. That's half the population.

My claim is based on my experience at games this year. There's no figures on this as far as i know.

Then i responded with a pic showing the Richmond Tigers (they won the flag this year) members cheer squad clearly showing a close to 50/50 split. And i could date it. Did you not see it?
And just to add to that pic of the Richmond members cheer squad. They go to every single game in Melbourne in vast numbers, numbers the NRL have wet dreams over, in fact if they all turn up they all most fill the MCG so in my opinion it's a fair representation of the modern demographic at an AFL match in Melbourne. I think you need to face it, Shitloads more chicks go to AFL matches than any other league.

Wow what a storm in a teacup we have here.

Look alls I did was search 'AFL crowd' in google images and the pic with fev in the foreground seemed to show the biggest Cross section of crowd I could find in the first few images that came up. It's certainly a waaaaaay bigger cross section of fans than the minute portion of the Richmond tigers cheer squads desperate and dateless sheilas section
