Re: GRAND FINALS 2017
Jesus this shit again
What you conveniently overlook continuously is
That you claim the AFL loses by not having casual viewers at home on a SAT arvo
Yet ignore the viewers that the NRL GF loses by going up against better rating shows in prime time
Yes more people, available to watch
Far more choice/ better shows

Re: GRAND FINALS 2017
You really think prime time is not a higher rating time slot? Okay then. I can tell you ... Sunday night... I'm home I'm going to at least flick over. Sat arvo ... if I'm home I'm going to flick over but only if I'm home. This works whatever grand final is on.
Add to that that it's a marquee event ... if people are home they are going to at least watch in part. What ever that marquee event is. If they are fans they will make sure they are home regardless. It is the casual viewer.
Why do you think the IOC try to have Olympic events, particularly the marquee ones, show. At a time where they go into prime time in the us.
If you showed say the gf at 3 in morning ... your die hards are going to watch regardless. You want get the casual viewer as opposed to Sunday night.
Why do you think Friday nights is a valued time slot and ratings winner?

Some how you loons think a Saturday afternoon slot is a better viewing slot than the Sunday evening slot! When going by past statistics and any one with a stain mind knows the Sunday evening is the prime time slot
If your sick of the topic don’t mention or get your brain dead nrlol buddy’s to not mention it! you fruit loops keep throwing tantrums to attempt to get your way
Australian sporting sponsorship
AFL excess of $50m
A league $30 million plus
ARU $27 million
NRLOL $25 million

Yes, but you're forgetting that either grand final is a marquee event ... a one off. Those casual viewers ... a significant proportion are likely to watch in part at least and there are a lot more of those casual viewers. In any case a higher amount of viewers is going to result in higher ratings ... for all channels/programmes on at that time.

Re: GRAND FINALS 2017
We all agree that the League/AFL fan will be watching regardless . But how many half baked fans will chose to watch a b grade movie instead of the football as opposed to A grade movie?Fred wrote: Fri Sep 29, 2017 11:06 pmYou really think prime time is not a higher rating time slot? Prime time adds get more money. The value for an add in prime time is not worked out on a one off.

Re: GRAND FINALS 2017
Because you keep ignoring the points I make .
Here let me explain it in simple terms
A cafe has for lunch
50 people ..the menu.....old stale sandwiches ....or rib fillet steak ...with salad chips etc .
Nearly all will take the rib fillet .
Dinner same cafe .....there's 75 people ...menu
Rib fillet..or crumbed chicken breast. Or fresh barramundi .
Are you following ..I highly doubt it .
The fact that more people are there is negated by better choices ..a wider top quality variety .
So not nearly all will have the rib fillet
All you focus on is more people at home during prime time .
Not that there are far better shows in competition .

Re: GRAND FINALS 2017
It's pointless trying to explain anything to Fred. The poor bugger is just base level stupid 101. He will ask the same thing repeatedly even when repeatedly explained to him. Day after day he will return to a point that has been previously demolished. He will continually repeat a lie even though he has been continually called out about it.AFLcrap1 wrote: Sat Sep 30, 2017 3:09 pmBecause you keep ignoring the points I make .

Re: GRAND FINALS 2017
Oh Terry ... cause I'm right ... and I know I'm right. I suspect you know I'm right and I suspect aflcrapper thinks he is right.... or is convincing himself he is right lol. This really should not be a point of contention it is that bloody obvious ....but yet ... here we are. I try to explain it as simply as I can .... the kids I used to teach at uni would understand this basic fact .... showing a programme in prime time will get you higher ratings than showing it in non prime time ..... if could be 30 minutes of someone taking a crap ... its gunna rate more on sunday night then Saturday afternoon.
