room to grow and ability to grow are two completely different things. The AFL have more room to grow internationally than RL, because we havent grown there yet. Yet logic says it wont any time soon. The NRL has room to grow in Australia but very little grass roots development to capitalise on. Meanwhile the AFL still have far more room in the northern states to grow, as well as Tasmania. Add to that the new Perth stadium will see bigger crowds immediately in Perth.pussycat wrote: Sun Aug 20, 2017 1:59 pmNlolRL wrote: Thu Aug 17, 2017 9:29 pmGotta love Terry's logic. Basically he thinks the NRL are in better shape if TV revenue stalls because they have less national expansion so more room to grow. Thats like me saying the AFL are in better shape than RL internationally because we havent expanded overseas so we have more room to grow.
What a numbskull
Terry's post is spot on . You fumbler's are too stupid or pig headed to see it. Most likely both! The AFL has none or very little growth room in Australia. And as for expansion overseas![]()

. Whereass the NRL has both. There are plenty of opportunities for expansion at home and overseas, Soccer and Union also. Anything that does't grow will wither and die! So the AFL may be approaching last rites but not so for the other football codes.
But the crux of the matter is the NRL is down in ratings and crowds, while the AFL is up.
