It's dead set like talking to 3 year old kids!! You explain the same thing to them over and over and over again but they will still come back and ask again........and again.........and again.
Fred, please go back over this thread and read my many, many posts explaining every point you repeatedly bring up. Then print them out and stick them on your fridge. Then every time you have these thoughts go and read your fridge. That will save everyone here a massive amount of time.
At the end of the year RL will beat AFL in both cumulative and average ratings with or without the NZ numbers. And that will be with many many less games televised.

Funny, I feel the same way when you keep adding nz viewers into a discussion as to how many Australians are watching sport on tv. You seem stuck on needing to include them. Then to avoid you go on about you thinking you have already explained without realising your explanation is wrong. Nz viewers do not count when counting how many Australians are watching rl or anything on tv where you are interested in how many Australians are watching.
I will refrain from name calling but gee you make it hard. I will stick to empathy ... maybe symphathy for you. Google the difference.
And yes, rl may have more Australian viewers at the end of year ... well done if they do. But for now, after origin, Australian rules had more Australian viewers. And if you go back to whatever thread it was you will see that it was rl people stating cumulative totals is all that mattered. I have also said averages and indeed would like to compare average AFL home and away season ratings between the two codes. As well as one with other games such as SOO and women's AFL thrown in for good measure.

Also if doing averages there were more than 3 games for nines . I believe there were over 30 games over three days. If you want to include 9s then you have to count the number of games. You just can't pick and choose ... I'll have the format of the nines but not the amount of games. This is what averages are about... either it is per game across all the figures or it is by day?

Re: 2017 - Rugby League TV Ratings (Rolling totals in OP)
Fred Rugby league in Australia accumulate the most ratings year after year after year With or without ratings from the NZ fans. Medals are given out at the finishing post, not half way round the final turn.
So Fred try to remember that we do not only accumulate more ratings. We accumulate more ratings in Australia. Our match averages are better. our FTA average is better as is our Pay TV average.
Rugby League rates better than AFL! and probably every other Australian sport

where they get the 15.5 from isFred wrote: Thu Jul 20, 2017 7:36 amWhere do you get 15.5 from?
To use your logic when you and crapper were arguing cumulative
Still the most watched on Australian tv. That's a fact.
for example.
Collingwood v Hawthorn...
You get supporters from both sides watching the match and neturals as well..
what the disadvantage is with Warriors is..
if Warriors v Canterbury..
you get Canterbury Fans and some neturals..
you miss the other fans support base tuning into that match..

State of Origin Game 3 was pretty much a blow-out again (like 2015)
Poor ratings, just 2.4m (all games well down on last year & previous years, in fact average 6 year low!)
First year since 2006 where an Origin game hasn't ranked as the #1 TV program (until the AFL GF in September), with the Australian Open Men's Final on 2.7m
Sports Fan Sports Fan
you do realize you are missing a further 1.150mill of figures in that figure...
ORIGIN 3 out rated the brilliant Tennis Final by just over 40k
there is more to Australia than 5 cities

there is 4.8mill in Sydney but 7.8 million in NSW
there is 2.4mill in Brisbane but 4.8 million in QLD
are you getting my point.........................
Re: 2017 - Rugby League TV Ratings (Rolling totals in OP)
Thr AFL have basically won every round's total, and are ahead in Australia even after SOO is finished. With 6 or so rounds to go plus finals I think we'll win quite easily form here. Of course we are cuurently 16 - 4 up in game v game comparisons which is a smashing in anyone's language

last 5 rounds of NRL
Saturday FTA GAME
meaning there is 4 FTA GAMES each week to round out the year..
AFL win each round mostly because
they have more FTA games
and an extra game..

An opinion has been put forth on 9s but I disagree. It was over 30 games. How many times do I have to explain it to you?Terry wrote: Thu Jul 20, 2017 10:49 amOnce again into the goldfish bowl we go. the 9's was over 2 days.
was played on Saturday AUS time from 10:30am onwards
and Sunday from 8:30am onwards..
so not ideal timing..
also FOX just AVG out the days of each.
being as they are only 18min games...
Re: 2017 - Rugby League TV Ratings (Rolling totals in OP)
Oh my. Explain to me how people watching in nz impacts on how many people are watching on tv in Australia? Sure, there are people watching in nz but they are not in Australia. It's really not that hard. There are 8 games shown on Australian TV and we want to know how many people in Australia are watching. If you want to argue how many people are watching in general that's another discussion.leeroy*NRL* wrote: Thu Jul 20, 2017 11:36 amwhere they get the 15.5 from isFred wrote: Thu Jul 20, 2017 7:36 amWhere do you get 15.5 from?

Just to be clear... if there was 1 billion people watching AFL in nz it had no bearing on how many watched in austrslia.

I'm not arguing how nz impacts on Aus tv audiences.
I am stating the disadvantage by having the warriors..
I don't care if we do not add in NZ FIGURES..
I am just stating the disadvantage..
as stated above...
HAWKS V PIES>> get both fans bases in Australia
Canterbury v Warriors >>> only get 1 fan base in Australia.. (there is the disadvantage.)))
gee FRED you must not of read my comment properly...
I do not like explaining myself twice...
