you make kicking a goal from 40m out, which means youre actually kicking from near 50m out to get over the man on the mark, sound like its easy. Given RL conversions are 20m out Im not sure why you're talking

Yes he makes out it's easy......because it is!!! It's the easiest scoring method in world sport. And to even miss the consolation point post's is just plain embarrassing.

yes its an easier scoring sport than RL, RU, soccer, hockey etc. It's also far higher scoring because of that ease. There are other high scoring games like cricket and basketball. This doesnt make them easy because the objective isnt merely to score, it's to score more than your opposition

Yes, as long as the criteria is the same for both teams how one scores can is irrelevant. 20 20 cricket, where scoring had been made easier is going gang busters.

I would still contest that kicking goals in Aussie rules is not as easier as some appear to suggest.

I would still contest that kicking goals in Aussie rules is not as easier as some appear to suggest. The other thing is that scoring a goal is often a combination of plays and passes etc ... just as a try is. Whereas kicking a conversion in rl or ru is a bonus with angel the only real variant from what I can tell. There are many variants to an ar goal.

not relevant when players can stand on the line with their arms up so theyre about the same height as a cross bar anyway

Oh. But that was not what I was saying in my post. I was saying the only variant for a conversion is typically the angel ... this adds to the degree of difficulty. However it is not the main source of scoring.

what has dropping the ball got to do with structure?

If the game has no structure why does it have multiple positions for specific sized players who play directly against each other?

Cause he is viewing it thinking it is rl or union. I used to do that thinking why doesn't that player do this or that in rl then came to realisation I was viewing it from an Aussie rules perspective and needed to get that out of my mind.

Hence this whole "fumble" thing ... in rl that is against the rules in many circumstances ... in AFL it's a totally different game. In AFL if you are caught with the ball and make no attempt to get rid of it for instance, than you get penalised. Imagine if AFL fans bagged the rl for players not having to get rid of it? That would be stupid.

In saying all that, watching the game yesterday a guy was about to get tackled and just dropped it and it was play on... this needs to be policed better ... that is "incorrect disposal".
