Re: Australias Greatest Sporting Event!
Wouldn't last seasons PayTV game that rated 490k be the highest club game of the year, if shown on FTA?
Just because only club football exists inside your bubble doesn't mean that's all there is. There's a whole world out there.

Re: Australias Greatest Sporting Event!
I have no problem with our season, and I gather many others feel the same way . There is a reason why our sport attracts more ratings than any other sport in Australia. And at this stage there is no thought of introducing a wildcard to try and boost interest levels

Re: Australias Greatest Sporting Event!
maybe you should given your Sydney FTA ratings are way down, and your crowds are down all over. SOO must be an oasis in a very bleak seasonpussycat wrote: Sat May 27, 2017 2:38 pmI have no problem with our season, and I gather many others feel the same way . Re: Australias Greatest Sporting Event!
Fans go mobile with record-breaking opening rounds
22 Mar 2017 •
'More mobile customers redeemed their Telstra Live pass in the first two rounds of the NRL than in the entire 2016 season.
'Round 3 – The Dragons versus Sharks home game at Shark Park delivered the peak number of unique live streams for the round (56,069) and the third highest of all time.'

I dont think we will be needing to boost interest any time soon.

I reckon your FTA ratings in Sydney would be down more than mobile numbers are up. Maybe fans are watching their mobiles instead of attending games too

Not to mention that AFL streaming numbers have routinely beaten the NRLs since the NRL app was launched.pussycat wrote: Sat May 27, 2017 5:13 pmFans go mobile with record-breaking opening rounds

I've seen no evidence of that . Minutes might be more but that's only natural for a game that is nearly twice as long.

thats if you believe accumulative ratings mean anything about popularity. Of course NRL fans do because they lose everything elseAFLcrap1 wrote: Sat May 27, 2017 6:38 pm& at years end . More people in this country will have watched Rl than Fumbleball
