Well, there's a problem, and every code faces the issue to some degree. Eddie's treatment was terrible, but it was one idiot out of 53,000 at the ground. One act was on social media which is known for gutless treatment of others. Port, the AFL and the police have acted, with one port member losing their membership.

How else can you tackle these idiots?

- why would recruiters continue to recruit in the same manner later that year once seeing what happened to Rendell?
- why, if this is a rule, are indigenous players now being recruited at record high rates?

more guess work on your part. Yes, we dont know what the conversation was. All we have is Rendell's word vs Mifsud. Yet Rendell's version makes far more sense than any absurd belief that when asked he openly admitted to recruiting players with one white parent.

Your claims about 3 recruited players in 2012, wouldnt it make more sense, if it was a rule, that there would be none? Or that 2011 would also be low? In fact of the top 12 players recruited in 2011 3 were indigenous.

And why wouldnt this rule still be going today?

A sample size of 1 isnt proof by any measure. If the population is only 5% indigenous, and the AFL draft is around 70 players, it's perfectly reasonable for one draft to have only 3 players (5% of 70 is 3.5). As I said in another post, some years barely any tasmanians are drafted, some quite a number are. Maybe there's a One-mainland parent rule we dont know about too.

As for Rendell coming out and explaining his comments 3 days later, he comprehensively slammed the AFL for his treatment and misunderstanding of his comments, yet now you believe this was AFL PR. Why would the AFL PR openly criticise themselves?
