Fact is, the TV networks who bid for sports tv rights don't give a rats about regionals. That is not AFL supporters having their heads in the sand, this is the reality!!!
Capital cities and their advertising spend my friend, that's all that matters to the tv networks.
The fact is the people that run televivision networks are smart, savy bussinessman. Not complete morons who ignore large sections of there bussiness.
Rugby league's regional areas are probably it's most passionate. Take Newcastle for example, there a rugby league mad city. with a population not all that much smaller than South Australia - twice the size of Tasmania
Only 3 League matches are currently shown on FTA as opposed to your 7 that is why, why, why!!!!!! And the scary bit, for you, is that on occassions we still beat you.
