Let me try to be clear. And I do apologise as it would appear me to have caused the confusion in trying, yet albeit not very well, to have a subtle dig at the size of rl in Victoria.

Rl in Victoria is very very small. There is the storm and a kayak band of followers but not much else.

AFL in nz is miniscule. I have no idea really as to how miniscule but I suspect very small in deed. If I was to have a guess I would imagine they may be on a par but as Victoria has a team transplanted and a very small following for rl, even if no grassroots really to speak off, going off what is being sarcastic d here I will guess that rl may be fractionally more popular and n vic than AFL is in nz. However am happy to be corrected.

Its not often I agree with you terry but in this case you are 100% correct. AFL in NZ is played in the summer as the fields are taken by rugby and league. The guys that do play it are usually rugby players who use it as a way of stay fit. In Wellington there are 4 teams total. Which is one of the bigger comps.

How do I know this? We'll a good mate of mine I use to play rugby with is the AFL liaison officer for AFL NZ as well as our rugby clubs being one of the first to allow them to use our fields in the summer. Well on a Sunday cause Saturday the cricket boys are playing.

So in comparison with vic RL, VIC RL makes NZ AFL look very miniscule
