It is a big problem for rl and has been for a while. Weight divisions are seen as the answer.

Its funny for a laugh watching the fatty run over the smaller kids for a while but at what point do the organisers and coaches make the decision that some one going to get hurt. Isnt junior football there to encourage and develop kids to play sport, learn skills (not in leaguesFred wrote:It is a big problem for rl and has been for a while. Is because of size advantages with kids like this that Rugby League is talking of competitions going by weight devisions.leagueiscrap wrote:From athletes, to actors, to musicians, to businessmen to stock brokers, getting to, and then making your mark in, America, is the definition of success.

Te’o plays rugby league. What makes him so unique — and what’s caught the eye of America — is that he plays rugby league a lot better than most nine-year-olds.
He’s got one distinct advantage — he’s an absolute monster. Video emerged of the youngster carving up at a junior rugby league gala day in Canberra, and the incredible footage of him running over and through opposition defenders made the Yanks sit up and take notice.

Re: got a fat and unskilled kid! Well League is the game for you
I cam take your point re kicking at goal. I reckon the point actually adds to the game in a way that no other game does with the exception of gaelic football. I think it rewards the dominant side but also punishes them if too many points. The scoring area for AFL is also from point post to point post with more points scored the closer to the middle.. a goal.
Also, no cross bar but you also have an oval and see some great goals scored fron amazing angles. It is just a totally different game to rl in most ways. There are a lot of kicks at goal also and a lot from 50 out... on the run also etc.
The point re being on the line still being in. Not sure what that has to do with skill in AFL. Two different games with different rules. AFL also has 18 players a side and is a man on man 360 game on a big ground. These are all different so not sure why touching the line as oppossed to being over as an inteoretation of out makes the game less skilled?
Re dropping the ball as much as you like. Whilst not completely true again, you are trying to compare AFL to rl which are nothing whatsoevet alike. It is not like comparing rl and ru... which is where i think this whole rl v AFL comes from... the whole which is better. Now ru is dying a slow death in this country i think AFL has filled that void in sydney at least. It would be like an AFL person saying rl is unskilled as you only have to throw the ball not handball it or that you can run without bouncing it... both stupid arguements trying to judge rl by another games rules.
Players of agl level are highly skilled. At the highest level of any sport there are the best of the best who can do things others cant. Thats why they are at the top. Same goes for any footballers. Maybe that is where soccer and union may struggle as the local comp for them maybe dont get the best in the world. For AFL and nrl it is the elite comp. ?

Re: got a fat and unskilled kid! Well League is the game for you
The comment re only tall gangly white people play suggests you dont watch much AFL or seen players up close. There have been 4 Sudanese play this year alone. And whilst AFL have a range of sizes play, there are certainly a lot of big units pkaying the game. Majic Daw just got mark of thr year by the way.
What there isnt a lot of are islanders though but think their body type is suited to union or rl.
But certainly a lot of players with european history playing or played.a few asian but not too many and a lot of aboriginal players to.

This makes AFL the easiest goal scoring game by a mile.

you suffer a bed case of little man syndrome
LR run with the ball under your arm, throw it left or right to your team made & repeat several times. then dive on the ball under your arm once reaching the trie line the width of the field. then take your penality kick, with the ball ( a larger rubber ball than an AFL ball) in a little plastic cone & take several minutes to line the kick up

the skill difference was shown with folau and hunt! they were utter uncos at everything they did in AFL!
now go any watch that fatty at the start of the thread and laugh at what a simple crap unskilled game league is

Re: got a fat and unskilled kid! Well League is the game for you
If you really think it is that easy. Well no amount of discussion is going to change your mind i guess of the simplistic view.
I would encourage you to grab a ball one day and have a go. Sure.. stand 10 meters out directly in front. That could be easy. Try it from varying distances and angles.
Then try it on the run. Then try it with someone chasing you or running at you. All that is with you having the ball. Imagine how hard it would be to just get the ball.
Saying it is essy to score in AFL is like saying it is easy to score on rl as all you have to do is put the ball down over the line.

Re: got a fat and unskilled kid! Well League is the game for you
Oh please you have an overinflated value of your own opinion each game has its unique skill sets and game rules they aren't comparable as much as you like to assert just shows how stupid and desperate you are for vindication of RL - but in the end doesn't matter what your opinion because participation, crowds, members, revenue and TV ratings tell of a sport that is regarded for its skill and the players ability and as for OS AFL supporters don't care but the fact the Sport has grown considerably OS and is played in many different nations in not a 100 yrs like RL or 200 yrs like RU and 100's of years for soccer but in just 20 yrs proves your both stupid and blind!NRL&NFLweLaughATafl wrote:I can go on forever about how poor AFL skills are.leagueiscrap wrote:still takes more skill than say. throwing a larger rubber ball than the AFL leather ball say 5 meters & the opponent fumbling itNRL&NFLweLaughATafl wrote:Is because of size advantages with kids like this that Rugby League is talking of competitions going by weight devisions.leagueiscrap wrote:From athletes, to actors, to musicians, to businessmen to stock brokers, getting to, and then making your mark in, America, is the definition of success.

Well League is the game for you
Lol says the fan of league a dumbed down version of union.NRL&NFLweLaughATafl wrote:AFL is the only oval football code that you can drop the ball as much as you like and not be penalised.Fred wrote:I cam take your point re kicking at goal.
Grid Iron your penalised
Rugby League your penalised
Rugby Union your penalised
You really are truly in denial that this is not a poor skill rule of AFL.
AFL is the only football code with no crossbars and extra side goals.
This makes AFL the easiest goal scoring game by a mile.
Soccer goals are more hard to score.
Rugby code goals are harder to score.
Grid Iron goals are harder to score.
THESE FACTS MORE THAN PROVE AFL IS THE MOST POORLY SKILLED FOOTBALL CODE EVER CREATED.

Run with the ball under your arm several meters in a forward direction, make a 5 meter throw to your left or right , the repeat the process several times. Then jump on the ball over the ground, when passed the score line! Its not hard to miss as its the width of the field
Well dont Thick shit nfi as per usual
