The Poms have obviously their English clubs in the pro league pyramid, plus Welsh teams in North and South Wales, French teams from Perpignan (Les Catalans) and Toulouse Olympique with Aude Cathars XIII and Sporting Olympique Avignonnais XIII wanting to join, there is also the new Canadian club joining them next season out of Toronto.

Years ago even before fulltime professionalism, the French had teams in their various comps at times from Italy and Corsica with Sardegna (Sardinia) playing at certain times. They also had interest years ago for teams to join from Andorra, Morocco and Algeria. It's not something new, sports have been there done that sort of thing esp Rugby League in its weird and colourful history for years. Most of the time it didn't last long because of the money needed for travel and taking time off work, we've had Russian teams playing clubs premierships games for years against their neighbours in the top teir of Russian Rugby League. The Serbians now how one of their neighbours the Republika Srpska playing in their premiership with Bosnia of all places talking about putting a team or two in.
