Where's the propaganda & bullshit posts of mine ?

FFS, the lead up to SOO is 2 months long even though your crowds are falling, the constant message from NRL is about SOO means they are promoting this at the expense of their major competition, then there's all the fluff peices and interest stories about it being the greatest game of all - you buy this propaganda and repeat it. The fact is whilst your main competition has had crowds fall for 4 years straight the NRL has continued to pump SOO up. You do the same thing last year when talk about crowds, memberships and Rv ratings are introduced you magically come up with SOO - like this very thread YOU started. So don't be surprised or offended when AF people call it for what it is a gimmick for it does nothing but actually detract from your major competition. Internationals I agree are and do have an important representative aspect but only if they are from that country and not someone's cousin friends flat mate who once spent a holiday there like RLWC rules permit!

The Origin period does come at the expense of the weekly club competition but it attracts even more Rugby League viewers , including 100's of thousands from the backwater states. I wonder if the second game in Melbourne this year will attract 90 thousand it will certainly give the AFL brigade something to aspire to.
