The S.G. Ball Cup runs for nine Rounds plus finals and was first played in 1965.

A Melb suburb of it means I play in front of a crowd! Aside of which they have an U18 Australian side which tours - NZ, Sth Africa and Ireland. So much for it being domain of RL! Furthermore if my main interest was representing Australia I would want to represent Australia in a legitimate international competition you know like, RU, Soccer, Swimming etc etc not a contrived and made up competition where have the teams have never set foot on the soil their supposed to represent!

That's what I asked Fred it turned into an argument over whether the U18 NRL competition is the same thing - which IMO it isn't

Oh i see. Well it is goodthe nrl have a national under 18 team . i guess the question is do they have a state based representative comp. Underlying this of course is the observation that rl has few i think rl players from non traditional areas playing at a representative level.
