My argument is and has always been tv ratings are only ONE KPI about the success and or domination of a sport - neither the NRL, A League, AFL or Super Rugby get all of their revenue via tv rights - if they did I might agree with you, but they don't - they get revenue from gate receipts, memberships, sponsorships and good will. The NRL doesn't even get as much as the AFL in tv revenue, (although close). They have less members, less crowds, less total revenue and less sponsorship and it's for a reason - because it is smaller than the AFL. You are competitive in ONLY one KPI, you lose and lose badly in the rest - that only KPI can ONLY ever be an indication because it just doesn't tell you who is watching and where they are watching. Once again your an idiot!

More Australians watch Rugby League Than AFL - Clearly Rugby League is more popular.

Firstly Badminton isn't a football code. Secondly it would never draw a total audiience of more than 130m plus, in 100 years, nor would in get a one of match audience of 4m.

For a start there is a PNG side that play in the Cairns AFL comp which is semi professional - 2nd they have advertised in the past for players to play in UK and be paid - no I can't find the reference - and I know you'll say it is BS but I don't care as I know it happened just because you don't like it doesn't make it not so. Aside from the NRL and Superleague I couldn't find proof of players being paid elsewhere but I would assume maybe in France and the new franchise in Toronto. No doubt in some minor leagues it would be the same as AF where certain players are paid $200 or more a match . Again not something easy to locate but undoubtably so - so dispute all you want jump up and down and call me a liar but we both know this is how football is conducted in semi professional leagues in both codes.

Laughable. Izzy was considered an excellent NRL player but literally could not play Aussie rules. He had no idea, just wasnt fast enough or skilled enough. KHunt had played Aussie Rules as a junior so he already had some skill. But in the end he was a fringe player at best and only played because the majority of the Sun's list were fresh recruits from the junior ranks. Over his short career he average a dismal 11 disposals per game, which would be toward the bottom of the team.

Rexona Challenge is hardly RL's shining light. One player dominated, but he was small and nimble. The other ex-RL athletes in Lote and Sailor were terrible. Too big and too slow. All this did was show the Rexona challenge grossly favoured smaller athletes.

What RL players succeeded in other sports? DOnt say union, they basically have the same skill set. 3 ex AFL players have succeeded in the NFL. Haynes was a flash in the pan

Australian cricketers! AFL had any test Captains? Many duel internationals (ie. some one who represents there country) place getters at the British open, Ryder cup winners? Famous beach sprinters % surf swimmer. Stall gift winner. Australian Rowers, famous Boxers you name it. and that's just my club the other clubs would have similar history because Rugby league is full of highly skilled athletes not pillow biters. Though I guess they were all flash in the pans too.
