My argument is and has always been tv ratings are only ONE KPI about the success and or domination of a sport - neither the NRL, A League, AFL or Super Rugby get all of their revenue via tv rights - if they did I might agree with you, but they don't - they get revenue from gate receipts, memberships, sponsorships and good will. The NRL doesn't even get as much as the AFL in tv revenue, (although close). They have less members, less crowds, less total revenue and less sponsorship and it's for a reason - because it is smaller than the AFL. You are competitive in ONLY one KPI, you lose and lose badly in the rest - that only KPI can ONLY ever be an indication because it just doesn't tell you who is watching and where they are watching. Well if you can post proof of pet memberships otherwise your full of shit - both get an annual distribution - Swans recieve less distribution than 10 other clubs - which means we are one of the least supported by the AFL, 5 mil less than St.Kilda, 3 mil less than WB, 2 mil less than Nth Melb, nearly 1.5 mil less than Melb and on par with the Hawks. Just makes you look silly when you don't have the faintest of ideas!! Whilst profit is not necessarily a bad thing it does not tell whether a club is doing well, Souths don't spend money on juniors, they also have a lot less in revenue than the Swans - they have substantially less in Crowds, sponsorship and members and the Swans have enjoyed 4 straight years of profits. Interestingly enough there was only ONE RL club who made a profit last year the one you mentioned wonder why you didn't mention that?? Another fun fact is the REST of the Sydney NRL clubs lost a combined 31.6 mil with the GREATEST losers Paramatta (8 mil) and you guessed it Penrith (6.4 mil). Now some of those costs were for new facilities particularly Paramatta so that may be an anomaly but it shows profit/loss is not the full story. Lastly you are an idiot!!
