Rugby League has expanded in Australia, only an idiot would say otherwise and sadly, this forum is filled with lying, idiotic, cult like following zealots of the victopian code who would lie even if a gun was held at their dear old mums head warning them they'll shoot if they lie about any sports question saying, Rugby league hasn't expanded in Australia at all when asked that very simple question, has rugby league expanded in Australia?

Well here is some news for the stupid and dyslexic of this forum, if this fails I will post some pictures so the drunken LIC sort of understands, swines won't, he's just a cosliar.

Victopian rules started in Australia, Rugby League was IMPORTED.

Since its IMPORTATION into Sydney Via New Zealand in 1908, Rugby League is now played in every state and territory of Australia from grass roots juniors to open age adults. NSW, QLD, Vic, ACT all have fully professional clubs whilst WA has a Semi professional club playing in a lower level.

At the same time, rugby league has used Australia as a base to spread the game into new territories, states and nations whilst Victopian rules is still struggling to find the end of the Hume highway.

Lets be honest, RL has been strong in NSW and QLD for nearly a century, and in that time it hasnt spread to the rest of the country. AFL is certainly stronger in NRL states than RL in AFL states
King-Eliagh: ...I believe [RL] is popular in all the other states and territories, bar tasmania.

Lol you've changed your tune ...but still can't tell the truth . You originally have claimed that the NRL has not expanded outsider Qld & Nsw .
Good to see I've educated you & you found where Melb is .

Then you continually claimed there were no professional leagues outside Aust .
Lol now you say semi pro .
Half a lie .

Super League, officially the First Utility Super League for sponsorship reasons, is the top-level professional rugby league club competition in Europe. The league has twelve teams: eleven from England and one from France. The current champions are Leeds Rhinos.

The only thing that really affected progress in non rugby league Australian states was the superleague war of the mid 90s. It put the game back 20 years. You just have to look at current NRL games in Perth, they are consitstently good crowds.

The sport has has record growth in New Zealand and other Pacific nations while AFL is virtually non existing in these places.
More Pacific Islanders are in the NRL than ever before.

No matter what you say. AFL has failed at gaining any recognition at an International level massively!!

And the fact Rugby League has a whole other professional league in the UK too gives the sport a Northern and Southern hemisphere fanbase. Something AFL will never ever have.

Give it time mate. Rugby League has professional teams in 4 countries while AFL has just 1.

And the fact NRL matches consistently sell well when played in Perth is more than I can say for AFLs effort in Wellington.
so RL cant expand into its own country but AFL is supposed to expand into NZ

righto mate :[]
Rugby League has more than proved itself with expansion on a global level compared to AFL.

AFL is an older sport than Rugby League and still it can't even field a competitive overseas team even in reserve grades lol...

tell me thickshit no1 why is it QLD & NSW can name a team of the century in the AFL yet for league, even if they combined all the players to have played NRLOL from VIC/TAS/SA & WA they still couldnt make a side! yet you keep trotting out the same BS lines about how nobody plays AFL in QLD & NSW & League has a strong presence in the other states :-k

FFS if it did you recken a few more people would have played in the NRLOL by now :)))

but but but
so how do you explain the other 80 years of league & why only a hand full of people has played league from TAS/SA/WA & VIC in that time!
league is only remotly populr in NZ is because of the union! youd think if the NRLOL/ league was hugly popular in NZ they would have more than just the one team, or the team that didnt have such a minnow supporter base :)))

FFS this super league was is nothing but a but but but excuse!
is gave the NRLOL press coverage all around Australia! packer & murdoch having a pissing contest trying to out do each other whoring their product at much as they can! RL in prime time, endless articles in their media publications

the clubs revenue streams are a pathetic joke, their crowds, memberships, sponsorship levels are a joke, for most teams half if not more come from the grant from the NRLOL distribution money from the broadcast deal, topped up by their league club
http://www.smh.com.au/rugby-league/leag ... 2swhv.html

if it want for the SL wars the NRLOL would never have such a broard cast deal period!

Oh NRLwelaughtatoursmallpenises no one is saying AFL is intermational but don't kid yourself that RL is either - it has just 4 countries who play (Aust, PNG, GB and NZ). And only one country where it is the number one sport (PNG). All other countries are mainly hack leagues who get bolstered at RLWC time by Aust, NZ, GB players being able to play - AF is played OS and in PNG and GB some are paid but we don't bang on about it being international. But either is RL :)))

The truth is that Rugby League since arriving in Australia in 1908 has expanded from Sydney to be played in every state and territory of Australia, anyone willing to have a $100 bet that it hasn't?

You have only 10,000 both senior and junior players outside NSW and QLD and only have 2 players that play NRL (both Victorian). There are 95,000 AFL registered players in NSW alone
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Austral ... outh_Wales.

In 100 yrs you've grown to be a very small sport outside NSW/ACT - QLD in the rest of Australia.
