Bhaaaaa
Kids kicking a Sharon .
Oh my .
Crowds ...how can RL have a bigger crowd at a smaller stadium .
& we are in your words talking about ACROSS AUST.
How the fuck do you get 20k WA people to a SOO match that is already full .
Memberships .
Jesus are you for real . This is a rep side
What have sponsorships got to do with which game is bigger .
Go get some straws Grasp them tightly ..
Simple fact
Across Aust far more people watched the SOO game
You know they were interested enough to watch .
You said outside two states
I showed the interest .
You didn't like the answer .
So now are mumbling about kids kicking Sharon's .
Lol

Re: Top five sporting events in Australia
Why not you did......the most popular sporting code across Australasia, haha your criteria, your complaining that SOO is bigger but you don't have anything to offer aside from ratings - if it was they would play all 3 at the MCG but they don't even play there every year and we know why! Ill take it as read that I am right for this year and your conceding the point!AFLcrap1 wrote:Bhaaaaa

Re: Top five sporting events in Australia
I've conceded nothing
You rambled with shit
Proved nothing .
The only way to assess interest in a big event is how many people will watch/ listen when it's on .
Soo smashed your little ACC day game .
The moment you had to use kids kicking a Sharon around as a barometer of interest in ACC day you'd jumped the shark .
& as for your bizarre logic . What have ratings got to do with playing at the MCG

Re: Top five sporting events in Australia
Stay on topic .
How do kids kicking a Sharon show interest in a big sporting event .
How do you assess how many kids across Aust are kicking a ball at one time & there's plenty of different ones .
What do ratings have to do with playing at the MCG .
You used these as some bizarre logic to back up your shit .
Now you're deflecting & not discussing.

Re: Top five sporting events in Australia
Simple fact is this thread is about RELEVANCE - how many kids in Vic, SA, Tas, WA are wearing a nsw blues jumper or a qld maroons jumper around SOO - so few it would be hard to quantify - how many newspaper articles - how much interest - where are the venues packed out to watch the game??? There isn't because it has no relevance in those states - this year in any event.AFLcrap1 wrote:Stay on topic .

Re: Top five sporting events in Australia
Lol
Just lol
So how many Qld or Nsw kids were running around in an Essendrug singlet on ACC day .
Lol
You are grasping at straws that aren't even there .
Tell me how many kids ride racehorses on Melb cup day .
How many wear racing silks .
According to your fucked up logic that's how interest is shown . Not by actually watching .
You really have lost the plot

Re: Top five sporting events in Australia
You fucking dick head it's one of a NUMBER of indicators - you use ONE I prefer to look at ALL the evidence - newspaper coverage, radio coverage, interest by kids in the school yard (which YOU used in YOUR thread!). Crowds etc etc etc keep boiling it down to one thing when it ain't it's a number of things - RL SOO will get very little in comparison to 2015 because there isn't a game on in Melb and hence a lack of interest as there is no novelty with the event.AFLcrap1 wrote:Lol

Re: Top five sporting events in Australia
I won't deny it but I like to watch the SOO. You can't argue that it is a big spectacle. Many non RL fans like myself sit down to it. You don't have to be a fan of the sport to watch the SOO series
It's still a big marketing gimmick, keeping RL alive in this country along with the Broncos

Overall aus wide hard to say, perhaps a split down the middle. But recently last couple of years I would say SOO.

Re: Top five sporting events in Australia
Lol
Swines has shown no evidence that in Qld & NSW there is much interest at all in ACC day .
If less than 95k watch out of over 12 million people then I'd say interest in not very high .
Lol
He's digging a bigger hole.
It's hilarious

Same goes for SOO in the southern states - a lot of people can't even tell you what code of rugby it is - but everyone in the northern states know what AF is who are its players the basic premise of the game e.g. Relevance - it is not about tv ratings because that doesn't tell us who is watching or why they are watching. This year those very same ratings may plummet in the southern states - then what have you got??
This is why you're considered the village idiot & the resident bullshit artist .
Everyone in the northern states knows who plays AFL .
Jesus Christ .
You have really lost it .
If everybody in the northern states is interested enough to know all the AFL players names why then were nearly all not interested enough to watch the ACC day game .
Your logic is laughable .
