Fail thread OP.

Claim of Rugby league number 1 in Australia is laughable

Also, RL on world stage is also laughable.

League is a speck of sand at a mile long Beach compared to Union.

Only one rugby code is moving convincingly in the world stage and we know what code that is

Get back on pace Swans, the NRL have made twice as much money since the introduction of the commission.
But but but.....
Their money improved as the bean counter David smith just jacked the prices up on many things, since hence done the basics he packed up his calculated and contract pay out and pissed off knowing there were no more tricks up his sleeves!
The only way to improve revenue is bums on seats & improving sponsorship dollars, but sponsor's won't pay up if you don't have the fans like the AFL does!
So in simple terms nrlol will never catch the AFL
Australian sporting sponsorship
AFL excess of $50m
A league $30 million plus
ARU $27 million
NRLOL $25 million

You realise the people who watch sport each week are basically the same people? You have a longer season and more games available to watch, so your end of season tally means nothing from a popularity point of view.

Like for like the AFL is a more popular game on TV, as can be seen by the home and away comparison where the AFL has the highest rating game.

That ignores the massive advantage the AFL have in revenue, memberships and crowds

As for profit, it's irrelevant for non-profit sports. They make money to spend it, and the more they make the more they can spend on development and facilities. The NRL is poor in comparison
Okay, We will try this another way than. Who attracts the most viewers for a single match? Ooh that rugby league once again =D> =D> =D>

Your repeating yourself, zero facts, zero substance = zero credibility.

Profit is not irrelevant for any business and only someone as desperate as you, or as stupid as Meto head would suggest such a thing. that's right , they make money to spend on things!!! only 1 makes more money than the other.

what comes in - what goes out = what you can spend on things. enjoy that silver
the AFL attract the largest daytime audience, SOO the largest prime time audience. The AFL attract the largest fox audience  2 v 1

Profit is irrelevant as long as you meet your expenses. The AFL dont need to continue with huge profits because they have their nest egg. They now spend their revenue on projects to benefit the sport.

Tell me, would you rather earn $500 a year doing a paper round while saving $250, or earn 500k a year and save $10? Profit isnt relevant
Where do you get these figures from? Do you pluck them from your arse???? Rugby league rates better on all - yes all mediums and your only fooling yourself if you think it dosn't? You struggle to compete with the NRL competition when rep football is added

PS. How did you Sunday night match go.

The figures are from Oztam. a few rounds ago the AFL got over 1.3m for a FN game, which is more than any NRL home and away game this year and last year. The AFL easily has the highest non-prime time ratings as well.

If NRL is number 1 on TV why doesnt it compete on an apples v apples comparison? Why do you need a representative competition shown in prime time to compete?

And thats only ratings. All other indicators are grossly in the AFL's favour

You'll be creaming yourself for the rest of the year over that one match will yah. Meanwhile how's your ratings doing in general? Grand Final down, down, down. Anzac day? down, down, down, Weekly totals? down, down, down.

RL doesn't put all its efforts into just one basket, Our Test next week will out do anything you've done so far this year and our Origin matches will obliterate anything you will do for the remainder

We more than compete with you at any level! We don't hide our bottom sides and our FTA results are pretty similar. Our STV numbers average about 50k a match better than yours, and our representative matches

There no better indicators than how many people are watching the rival codes and how much there making!

Enjoy That Silver Medal!

Its not about 1 match v 1 match. It beats every home and away NRL game. As for ratings going down, youre simply wrong.

RL doesnt put all its eggs into one basket? :(/ Yes they do, TV! And you guys do with SOO :(/

You compete at any level? Revenue? No. Crowds? No, Memberships? No. Nation coverage? No

Hahaha you lost 18 mil last year
http://www.afr.com/business/sport/natio ... 210-gmq60n

They made 0, nada. Zip, zilch they lost half the 49 mil they made the year before (so much for a futures fund!). No doubt losing Smith will also result in additional costs in the equation PLUS the downturn in TV ratings this year and crowds. Oh dear falling down! Hahaha

Your TH and F prime time fox games average 204k when competing with FTA

Our FN foxtel games rate 278k
