FFA has agreed to Socceroos and Matilda's games there, and the fact the end stands can also be brought in is great for football good news for Rugby League and shows how well League and football can work together.

I would like the new Parrastadium to have the same deal allowing the end stands to be brought in getting rid of the endzones between league and football matches.

Parra stadium looks like it will get safe standing as well which is great news

Brookvale hasn't changed since I saw Wests play Manly there 40 yrs ago, don't know the fascination with a grass hill, it's slippery when it rains, it's cold and you can't take kids there, why don't they just cough up the dough and build a purpose built stadium that holds 25 - 30, that's the one place that will never really drop in crowds. But I think other RL people say they are the one club that won't travel.

In Sydney you will find the teams that do not travel

Panthers, Manly, Cronulla. Newcastle, roosters (in small numbers)

Canterbury, parra, souths, tigers and st George
are sydneys big clubs.

Yet the tigers got 9k at one of their home games during the weekend

Reason why NRL continue to play many matches for years now at suburban grounds because your competition is amateur, struggle to fill a tiny suburban ground.

And almost every home and away game played at anz has no atmosphere and is only filled 20-30 percent of seats sometimes less.

Most of our games will be played at Spotless, going to make a nice change for the ground to actually have some fans there instead of the 15 GWS supporters that turn up.

You state that it was raining hard? Bullshit, it was so light, I was in city yesterday evening and didn't even need an umbrella.

I remember I was at the scg couple years ago when the swans faced off the blues, it was raining much more then yesterday and manage to get a 15k crowd.

it was clear for the 1st 30mins of the game.

and the next 50mins of game including half time it rained like crazy
did you see the state of the ground.

(rain affects Rugby league crowds that all there is to it)
its no excuse, its a fact.
look when there is rain on the day or during the game,
the crowd is reduced by over 50%
