Crowds a millions dollar industry : this is the area you dominate (with the exception of persecuting minority groups).
Ratings. a billion dollar industry : this is the are we dominate!
Lol idiot pissy cat if the nrlol dominates the ratings why do they get less for all their internationals, soo & rest of your garbage code compared to the afls h&a season!
I don't know why I am trying but I will give it ago..
you do realize NRL Season in all rep games H&A =206 games
the AFL season = 206 games
there is only one reason the AFL gets more and one reason only.
watch a rugby league game and count the adverts..
now watch a AFL game and count the adverts.
you will see a huge difference..
there was a quote in the AUSTRALIAN last year and it said
"An Advert after a goal is scored in the AFL is one of the best advertising spots you can get"
and there is a what 30+ goals average a game
to sum it up..
the AFL should be getting a hell of a lot more if you compare it to the NRL Deal.
youre ignoring the advertising value between NSW/QLD and VIC/WA/SA. The NRL's homeland markets get way more per ad than the AFL's.
Taking it all into account, even if NSW has a higher payment for adverts over Victoria
It still does not ad up, and advantages the AFL by a long way.
AFL has to many breaks where adverts can be installed.
the NRL does not.
the Cricket is another good example.
Packer loved the idea of advert after each over. \
Isn't that why the NRL was looking at games with quarters to increase advertising. I don't think TV exec's really care about one code one way or the other only how much they can make off it. I think that's why both get very similar amounts because both have a very similar value, I don't see one code being decisively beaten by the other in the realms of TV ratings.
Pretty much
it was ideas floated, More from the networks wanting it then the NRL
CH9 D.Gyngell wanted more ways for advertising during the game
as there is limited ways for advertising during the games.
it does add merit to the product, but how much hard to say.
That is one big thing going against Soccer. no adverts until H.T
