fuck me you talk a lot for a comp that averages less than half the AFL. If you took the Broncos out of the equation your crowds would be on par if not less than the A-leagues.

well anyone with a brain would know RL will automatically get 3 far larger crowds for SOO and the GF/ So no, I was not saying it would be the largest crowd for the year. I was questioning whether it was the largest crowd for this year SO FAR.

Also, it takes 2 large NRL clubs to get what the swans do v interstate clubs. Thats why I call them 'unhealthy'

When an expansion club averages larger crowds than all the homeland clubs there is genuine reason to laugh.who cares if a few morons made comments about the swans popularity, it doesn't negate the inadequacies of the NRL in Sydney from a crowd point of view, especially compared to the swans who never play in real local derbies which raise the crowd figures

Stop raving on with all your crap and face up to reality for a change. Last year Rugby League drew a bigger crowd in Melbourne than any match bar the Grand Final. MELBOURNE heartland of the AFL ditto international soccer.

Begs the question just how popular is the AFL?

Over 3 million people attend the AFL in Melbourne each year, thats as many as attend the entire NRL competition annually. Just how popular is RL in Australia?
