The 2 most successful NRL team of the last 10 years have been the Broncos and the Storm, funnily enough (and I'm sure it's just a coincidence) both teams are owned by uncle Rupe.
Now we all know the Storm were stripped of premierships etc, but, is their any RL fan on this site who thinks the Broncos would've recieved the same penalties if they were found guilty of the same crime?
IMO the Stormmwere an easy target, almost a strategic one, stripping them of premierships had a 2 fold affect, 1: it made the average NRL fan hate them even more, and hatred is needed to build interest, 2: it made the NRL out to be good Guy's **** its main fan base without doing any real damage to its brand, but, does anyone really believe the Broncos would've recieved the same sanctions in turn disheartening the NRLs second major fan base?
But back to business, how has the 2 News Corp teams managed to be successful for soooo long? Is it luck? I think not.
