That's nation wide not just in Hunter - read the article - I know in my area women's footy has exploded with junior clubs (38 in my region) now having u14's and under 17's entirely plausible.
Lol
You bullshit again .
It's right there in front of your face yet you post something that's not there .WTF is wrong with you fumbles .

Women’s AFL has seen unprecedented growth in the state with 69,000 registered females participating in the sport last year.

So 69k females in NSW .

No, the figure isn't nation wide, it is state wide, which I presume means NSW. That is the way the article posted reads, they may have made a 'mistake' deliberate or otherwise.
Football in NSW
- Football 200,868
- AFL NSW/ACT 28,468
- Rugby League 96,041
- Rugby Union 40,685
Football has 22% more players than the other football codes combined

May be right but I think that figure would include, Auskick, junior football, senior football and school programs. I still think unless you can show otherwise it's right. How does this figure upset you soccer would still have a higher uptake with females??

The uptake of female football players is not my issue, it is the reporting of questionable figures to try and make out something that is not true.

There is no doubt that the success of the Matildas has caught the attention of the other codes. It is a demographic (in terms of players) that football is well established in and others are playing catch up. The AFL is very desperate in this area (RL less so because if you include touch football they are well established with females in that area and to be frank I think it is where most females prefer to play RL)

So AFL are 'producing' figures to capture headlines, what connection those numbers have with reality is up for debate. I simply do not see any evidence of 69,000 women playing AFL in NSW. Definitely not in Sydney with 4.5 million of the approximately 7.5 million population, you would expect to see some evidence.

It was on the AFLNSW website - I posted the article - I don't think it's unreasonable would be less than 1% of the state.

Yeah so that's why you titled the thread

AFL women's comp in the Hunter on the rise!!!!

And start off with deceptively using numbers to portray something that is not true, then you come back half a dozen of your own posts later to justify yourself with your silly numbers saying, but I meant it as Nation wide tho, really I did, I just titled it this way to make sure it was looked at. I'm not lying, I'm not being deceptive, i just didn't tell you everything.

Then we find out later it wasn't nation wide it was state wide which makes it look even dodgier, but still, not as dodgy as first portrayed with 69,000 females participating in AFL in the Hunter region, you know, that heartland of Rugby League.

Edit: Shit, best read the whole thread first so I can just do one big reply to the idiot.

Well according to Wikipedia Aussies rules has in total 1.2million registered players (boys and girls) nationwide (including juniors) and rugby league showing only a miserable 800k (that must include overseas too) wonder how much is that would just be Australia. Registered clubs AFL leading by a long way too
