And it's not even close, the AFL is clearly the most watched sport in the country.

Very hard to get concrete figures, I did a bit of Googling and ended up on Wookies site, lots of fluctuating figures from numerous sources but the majority of those had the AFL around 1 million subscribers ahead making AFL the clear no1 sporting code in the country.

The AFL Live application launched in 2012, and shows every game live. From 2013, this service became available to customers on all networks.
The NRL Live application launched in 2013 and shows all Foxtel games live, and Nine games at time of broadcast.

In September 2012, the Financial Review reported that the AFL live app had been downloaded a million times .

“This is the first year and people have a whole new experience they need to get their head around . . . but more than 74 per cent of customers converted from the free trial to the [paid] product so that’s been great”

You posted just the 1 article , I posted Quiet a few . The only one that favours you reports that the AFL had a 12 month head start.

Telstra announced, in an article last year on the number of hours that AFL and NRL had been downloaded . The Nrl was clearly in front.

they actuary were dipshit, in the AFL in the top 4 or 5 not bad for a basket case team, then you have those minnow NRLOL clubs! wouldn't they do anything to have such a large strong following
