It went quite well spazza well the ticket prices were about 3 times higher for the cheapest seat to the AFL grand final & the ratings wise they were similar, nrlol in prime time and AFL on the Saturday afternoon. Having 90% of the viewing market.

So it looks like the nrlol was the minnow grand final spazza

NRL grand final won in almost every way.

Higher total Australian ratings
Closer more exciting match
Better live music acts
Better atmosphere

Yep & as Has been established on here in the past when you have an Uncommpromised comp things even up .
When you have a compromised comp where some teams get extra $$$$$ or pick of the good young beanpoles then on field becomes very very uneven .

At least my team won a GF because they were the better team on the day .
Not because the powers that be make sure that things turn out the way they want .

Glad the Cowboys won too. I don't think AFL fans realises how much success the NRL is having with it's expansion reserve grade sides.

PNG Hunters have been a huge success with sellout crowds in PNG and now there is talk of a Fijian reserve grade side being added as well as possible second reserve grade NZ side.

This will give the NRL far more depth in players and increase the quality of matches even more.
The NRL is doing expansion the smart way.

AFL went for expansion early and now they are paying for it with too many lopsided matches. Not enough beanpoles as you said☺
