Well look there. Prime time cricket ratings increased by over 50% compared to afternoon ratings. Must be a non-ratings period. Errrr, no. Next excuse?

Re: Rugby League?
The Cricket ratings are different seeing as the game goes all fucking day.
Fuck me dead.
Nothing like the footy.
They don't have a gf in the cricket either, well not proper cricket.

prime time cricket rates higher than daytime cricket, for tests and one days. prime time sport rates highes in daytime.ParraEelsNRL wrote:The Cricket ratings are different seeing as the game goes all fucking day.

Re: Rugby League?
Lol .
Just lol .
People who want to watch some cricket can go out during the day ...& still settle in of a night & watch the same game .
That can't happen in a football GF .
If it's on during the day & you want to watch ...you swap shifts..you get a rellie to do something you normally do .
You know the date it's on. The time ,You have months to arrange to make sure the arvo on is free .
You can't compare ratings for a game that goes approx 8 hrs .
Just lol .

Re: Rugby League?
if it was simply a matter of people choosing which session they prefer why is the prime time session the most popular? Wouldnt plenty of people watch during the day and go out on a Saturday night?AFLcrap1 wrote:Lol .

dedicated fans will watch no matter what time the game is on. But the GF obviously has a huge component of occasional viewers because it rates well over double any other game for the year. its obvious there are far more occasional viewers watching TV in the evening, the ratings prove it day after day

Re: Rugby League?
Yup, the cricket matches go all day and you can pop in and out keeping up with the action, you want to watch a footy game, you have 3 hours to do so or you tape it.

Re: Rugby League?
so any session could be the highest rating then. Why is prime time so much higher?ParraEelsNRL wrote:Yup, the cricket matches go all day and you can pop in and out keeping up with the action, you want to watch a footy game, you have 3 hours to do so or you tape it.

Re: Rugby League?
Probably because as was explained ..people choose to do other things during the day on a weekend ,because they can still watch the same game of a night .

Re: Rugby League?
sure. Just like the massive proportion of occasional viewers who watch either grand finals will be home to watch an evening game rather to an afternoon game. Thats why prime time rates higher, not because the quality of TV is any betterAFLcrap1 wrote:Probably because as was explained ..people choose to do other things during the day on a weekend ,because they can still watch the same game of a night .

Re: Rugby League?
Lol
Are you for real .
Quality shows is open to interpretation
But shows that rate very well are in prime time ...up against the NRL GF
So you think the quality of a 50 yr old Elvis movie ( Fumbleball GFs main opponent) is the same as The current popular( not to me but to many others) shows like Masterchef ..the Block. The voice ..x factor or new release movies etc .
Lol
You just had a great self ownage moment

Re: Rugby League?
the quality of other shows on Saturday afternoon is irrelevant because very few people watch Saturday afternoon anyway. Real fans will stay home and watch the AFL GF, however a huge proportion of the ratings for GFs are occasional viewers and far more of them are at home in the evening, as proven by ratings figures every dayAFLcrap1 wrote:Lol

Re: Rugby League?
& those heaps of extra people who are home in prime time have 3-4 other TOP rating shows to choose from .
There is no guarantee that they would watch the fumblers GF
& those other shows won't be ELVIS movies ..
How hard is it to understand you move a show into prime time ...it's up against top rating competition .
