So wookie why can't the nrl generate the interest, crowds, sponsorship dollars, revenue like the AFL has? It should be ahead of the AFL considering NSW and Qld are the 1st and 3rd largest advertising and populated states in the country where it is considered the more popular code?The_Wookie wrote:hey eels: every year since 2002 the AFL has beaten the NRL for media rights when all is said and done. Every time. Even with NZ added. Thats a fact.
Not only that but sponsorship and other sources of income for the AFL make the NRL look like the minor league that it actually is when it comes to anything that isnt television related. Then we can go into actual tangibles like membership and attendances where the NRL is only now catching up to where the AFL was in 1994 in memberships and where the AFL was in attendances in 1945. Thats not a typo, the last time the AFL averaged 15k for the year including finals, it was 1945.
its not all about the media deal. it never has been. Champ.

Lol look at the common theme **** all of the different forms of media!eelofwest wrote:The_Wookie wrote:Its a fact. The Origin sides are representative sides, not club sides. get with the fucking program.
They are state teams, something the AFL does not have.
You leave them out because all you do is spread fumbleball propaganda.
Adding the state teams looks like this on facebook
1. NRL 1.075m
2. Qld maroons 816k
3. AFL 746k
4. NSW Blues 712k
5. Broncos 578k
6. NZ Warriors 425k
7. Melbourne Storm 414k
8. South Sydney 406k
Take a look champ, its another easy win to the NRL...![]()

The AFL and NRL both have different media strats.
NRL has a partnership with facebook
AFL has a partnership with Twitter.
That probably explains the difference on both sets of social media.
Of course it's just so many more people love AFL teamsParraEelsNRL wrote:That's because we are free to love our team, state and country you dingbat!
