AFL TV viewers switch off

Post by eelofwest »

Australia-wide, taking in telecasts on both the free-to-air Seven network and pay television's Fox Footy, numbers are down by nine per cent.

The cumulative numbers show that Perth is the only capital city where viewers of live game broadcasts have increased, while Brisbane, with both the Lions and Gold Coast, has performed poorly and is down by as much as 15 per cent.

Expansion not looking to good either.

9% Drop and on Fox and FTA combined

the AFL wants 1.7billion

Tell them there dreaming...  :_<> :_<>

NRL up %2 on Fox and Up %5 on FTA

Next deal will have no delayed games so expect the NRL Tv ratings to only go up from here, and if there is expansion then it will go up further.

2Billion here we come boys..... =D> =D>

What a stupid article and may I add OP considering NRL TV ratings are also down from what I can see in Wookies tables for this season.

No surprises AFL ratings are down when bloody Carlton feature so often on FNF only to get smashed. Can't blame viewers for not wanting to watch that. Take note Gillon

News flash wookies tables are garbage, not taking away from the efforts he makes because we all love what he does with those but at the end of the day those tables are like the governments budget projections..... :_<> :_<>

Wookie's figures are the same. These figures, I believe, work out/compare the averages (2014/2015)up until the current round. Wookie 's average is for the entire season. As there is a spike near the end of the season these averages should end up the same.

Yes but that being said wookie does not have access to the late friday night regionals for NRL, same can be said about the AFL in his tables. he is missing some figures which puts his tables out by some margin.

But when AFL house put out a number of -9% people should stand up and listen instead of burying there heads in the sand.
