we keep hearing about how the NRLOL has millions of fans that love their league!

any way with the AFL attempting to have a more fan friendly fixture this year! perhaps the NRLOL brains trust & bean counters, David Smith & co, can attempt to do the same, by catering to their fans needs! by just scheduling all games on disability pension payment day! even offering a discount to the special needs nurses that so kindly offer their services to these special people of society!

this way the NRLOL will be appealing to their main audience & will have no excuse for their crowds to keep falling.
this is a win win situation for all the NRLOL community, the sponsors & fans etc

But I fail to see how and where you get your source and assume heaps of league fans are unemployed. Surely there is other reasons for not attending games. Perhaps the passion isn't as high as the AFL. Everyone knows that.

So RL rates well on TV on those 4800 rating boxes, many of the times there is double counting of the ratings!

Yet in the real world. The crowds of the rl are shit, the membership levels are shit, the participation levels are shit, FFS the nrlol trail all of the major codes in sponsorship levels! Given its the dominate code in the first and third States of advertising revenue.

So why is this the case?

Tv stations hand out ratings boxers to select people .
Knowing that they will watch certain programs .
Then try to leverage advertising dollars off companies with these fake numbers .



So once a tv channel has put out fake ratings to show how popular a program or sport is ,they then have to fork out hundreds of millions of dollars to buy the rights to that sport .

My question is this dumbo
Why would they artificially inflate the popularity of a sport when it will drive the price up ?
According to you they are paying big overs for something they know doesn't rate well ,but they lied about that so they could outlay far more than it's worth .
