Crapper,
There are only FOUR countries in a world of 200+ which have had the CULTURAL INDEPENDENCE and the STRENGTH OF CHARACTER to develop their own culturally unique code of football, where that code is the dominant code in the home country.

Those countries are England, Ireland, USA, and AUSTRALIA !!!!

Every other country has wilted under the onslaught of football imperialism of another country, and imported a foreign code.

• I am deeply proud that Australia didn't succumb to English soccer imperialism.
• I am deeply proud that Australia's Game of Aussie Rules sells 7,000,000 tickets to AFL a year. More than the all the other 3 codes combined.
• I am deeply proud that it was a New South Welshman, Tom Wills, who first wrote the rules.
• I am deeply proud that Tom Wills wrote those rules in May 1859, which was 4 years and 7 months BEFORE the rules of soccer were written in England in December 1863.
• I am deeply proud that Australia's northernmost people, the Yolgnu of Kakadu and Elcho Island, love and play Aussie Rules and, unlike you, ignorant Crapper, know that Kakadu is not in Victoria.

Ignorant, naysayers like you, Crapper, will never destroy the most powerful statement of Australia's cultural uniqueness: Australian Football.

Interlopers, like AFLsforPussies who confessed she comes from the UK, may try to promote English codes, like RL and soccer, here, but our own uniquely Australian culture is too strong: Australian culture and Australia's Game will prevail.

Jeez, Parra,

You hate Victorians, you hate South Australians, you hate cricket... And I suppose you hate Tasmanians, West Australians, the Yolgnu of Kakadu, and, of course, me.

Do hate the feeling that the walled garden you've been living in is getting smaller and smaller?

Do you hate it every time you peer over your garden wall and see how much fun we are having with our Aussie Rules and Cricket?

Your walled garden is a fairy land, Parra, sprinkled with fairy dust.

A redoubt providing haven to the deluded who don't want to know their own country and its culture.

It is a sad life you live, and every miserable word, every joyless phrase, every abusive sentence you write echoes your misery.

11,658 for the NRL tonight for 2 of their bigger Sydney clubs. Apparently got nearly 30k a some years back. This downward trend must be a worry for the bumsniffers

11,658 at a game between defending premiers Rabbitohs and Parramatta! Both teams old stalwarts of Rugby League with years of history and tradition.

And just two weeks ago at nearby Sydney Showground, the fledgling Giants got a CROWD of 13,556.

Says a lot.

Yeah that fat ones, as well you would need to take in to consideration most of the fans special needs nurses. I think you would find them hiding under the seats or out the back under the stands trying to sheld their face from the TV cameras from the sheer embarrassment of being caught at a nrl game
