Laughable .

Your team in Syd has no FTA competition .
When it does it will be slaughtered .

At least the storm go up against FTA fumble games .

& that is something you don't seem to grasp .
no, its an example how the swans are not really affected by the NRL. They have their fans who prefer AFL
Lol you're still missing the point .

The Swans have clean air on FTA in syd ..no FTA competition .
When they do they will be pulverised.
You base thwir popularity on a small numbet of rating boxesnthat represent nearly 5 million!

Yet the swans have the largest crowd average, memberships, sponsorship, football related revenue in all of nsw!

Go figure that one out spazza
Australian sporting sponsorship
AFL excess of $50m
A league $30 million plus
ARU $27 million
NRLOL $25 million

Your right in away, they have a little niche that go to the game.

but when on Tv..
If people had a choice and there other sports on FTA the Avg 40k crowds on FTA at the moment

will be Smashed even further lower.

their little niche that goes to their game is bigger than any other individual club in Sydney. Their FTA Tv ratings may or may not drop, but even if they do it wont be much given they already play against NRL on fox

yes they do have a good crowd following in Sydney.

but FOX SPORTS is only available to 25% of Sydney.

More people who don't have it, cannot watch the NRL. and if home on the night watch something else.
AFL IS BEAMED into Sydney each weekend. with no NRL FTA

But this will change and it will have an affect.

when the NRL plays in Melbourne with no FTA AFL it rates quite good.
but when AFL is on at the same time,
its numbers slide.

Subscription rates in Sydney are the highest in the country at around 30%.

No, the NRL doesnt rate well on FTA in Sydney, the storm do for their occasional game. Here are Sundays figures: Sun TV #NRL Nine 386k (Syd 248k Bri 138k) GEM 18k (Mel 9k Ade 2k Per 7k)

9 thousand with no concurrent game on fox is good is it?

The AFL had 18k during the same time plus 2 games were shown on fox at the same time

ok not a real good assumption.

That was the day of the A league Grand Final.
where Melbourne people were either watching the AFL EPIC GAME OF THE SEASON pies v Tigers
or victory V Sydney.

The NRL game was Newcastle v Tigers.

All figures for games were down.

THE NRL does rate well in Melbourne
Fri TV #NRLEelsManly Nine 530k (Syd 374k Bri 156k) GEM 75k (Mel 69k Per 6k)
NRLBroncosSouths Nine 653k (Syd 418k Bri 235k) GEM 76k (Mel 71k Per 5k) METRO ONLY

Look at those Melb Figures for non Storm Games. (games 1 of the season no competition from AFL)

With AFL COMPETITION
NRLBulldogsSouths Nine 560k (Syd 415k Bri 144k) GEM 52k (Mel 31k Per 21k)

#NRLTitansBroncos Nine 480k (Syd 227k Bri 253k) GEM 64k (Mel 57k Per 7k)

those figures arent against any sport, no AFL, no foxtel game, nothing.

Umm Wrong
The Rugby union was on and Soccer.

omg why cant you admit it.

I admit the NRL is down on FTA in Melbourne when up against the AFL
but when no AFL IS on its numbers are higher

its the same in Sydney..

but for some reason you cant admit it
and think the AFL is far higher in numbers.

WOW

THE BUBBLE

Keep imagining. It appears Channel 9 wants A-League on Saturday nights up against the AFL.
