Cats!!!

Post by kaskill »

I take my hat off to the cats after they demolished adelaide lastnight and not just because i support them will i say this but they really look like the goods again this year! full side back in and playing some of their best footy im looking forward to the next couple of weeks taking on the doggies and hawks also sydney abit later down the track these teams being top 4 in my eyes so it'll be good to see where they're all at when they face off over the next few weeks!!!

Oh and Grim i bet our flogging of the "cows" lastnight by 68pts would have even just very nearly put a smile on even YOUR face!!!

Wow, having not seen the game last night and just seeing the final scores now, I must agree that the Cats are travelling well. Another thrashing last night it seems with the latest victim a top 8 team. Hmm Sydney meets Geelong soon.

Swans were just awful. Week off certainly didn't help and our game plan simply does not work against the Pies. When will Roos realise this and change it? #-o

Could it be that the tactic works at the SCG because it's a small ground - and doesn't at the Olympic Stadium? I'm surprised at Roosy if that's the case.

I think the bigger problem (even though it's not an excuse) was the ground condition. Speculation was that the ground hadn't recovered from the State of Origin. I think the AFL need to look into the programming next year with that in mind.

Yes very much so Kaskill, anything that brings misery upon the Cows and their chardonnay supporters has the Grim "seal of approval". I don't know how you guys are going to go against Hawthorn though, considering a former Port Assistant Coach is coaching Hawthorn now!

The Cats look good, but I'm still hoping for a Hawks premiership. Would love to see Buddy tear the Cats apart.

As long as it's close I don't really care. We don't want the non event of 2007!

Well.....the best team on the day won. The best team of the year will have to give away their clinical football and play with some passion next year. Reminds me of the Crows a few years back. Most teams could not get within 6 goals of the Crows during the season, but when it really mattered (finals) they were found wanting. Well done to the Hawks. A deserved win!

Well done Hawks, what an upset. A great GF victory and game and good to see no repeat of the blow out GF we witnessed last year.

Don't know about depleted forward line?! The Cats had plenty of scoring opportunities......especially Cam Mooney. Some commentators are using the c.....word for the Cats. Yes, the same word used for the Power when they had their era of dominance. They were minor premiers for 3 years running and only won one grand final. Essendon did the same from 1999 to 2001. Winning grand finals is a different ball game from winning home & away games.
