The NRL is up there because of 8 games on the weekend fans can usually watch all 8 which only amounts to 16 hours. Where as I can only watch 5-6 AFL games because I cannot watch 2 at the same time, and my 5 matches would be 15 hours of viewing. And after weve essentially watched the same amount of football each you are counted as 8 watched games and me 5.

Come on, youre not that stupid. You know very well why the NRL rate well on FN, they combine 2 games and 1 of them almost always involves their biggest club the Broncos. When the Broncos dont play they almost always lose the ratings, like the last Friday game the NRL played

As for prime time, the truth is the truth. The AFL GF is the only show that makes the top few rating shows for the year that is not in primetime. You think thats a coincidence?

They do it to boost ratings. Unlike the AFL we can only watch one game! The biggest Fri night game last year and this year too I think, were head to head matches that didnt the Broncos.

It will be interesting to see when it comes up against 60 Mins or the news just what difference there is - it certainly did'nt affect our test match.

Rubbish. Brisbane rate almost 300k when the Broncos play, and rarely over 200k when they dont. Yes the AFL combine ratings from games but never on FN which is the only night you compare to the NRL

The NRL highest rating club games for the NRL over the past 2 seasons have been regular matches. Im not saying networks don't combine matches to increase ratings - they do, both codes do. But If you think stand alone matches without Brisbane don't rate your sadly mistaken.

im not saying that, Im saying they play the Broncos in one of two FN games almost every week for a good reason, the audience is almost always far larger
