There are plenty of English, Fijian and New Zealand players that are NRL stars and are ineligible to play Origin.. So that arguement does not really add up.

yes two states.for all the crap you give the swans (the largest team in NSW) & the lions (been a basket case for a decades and still getting better numbers than nearly all the clubs in NSW) the raiders are a joke and so are the storm.
there has been 5 players in history from Victoria to play in the NRLOL!
ps when i went to Auckland last year it was in NZ not Australia

Other than SOO the NRL gets flogged. It won the GF for the first time in years and only really because of a sentimental favorite winning. The finals and home and away games were dominated in crowds and ratings by the AFL. The NRL is actively trying to grow its crowds but actually went down from a dismal 16k

Is because each game is shown on FTA in there own States..
for example.

Adelaide crows v West Cast, Shown live into SA and WA then on Fox Sports for the rest of the country..
this happens with every game of AFL.

I will add the extra game you have a week as well.

You have 4 FTA min a Week on FTA into each State..
plus the rest played on FOX SPORTS MAXING the Tv viewers to the LIMIT

THE NRL has 3 FTA GAMES 2 live 1 delayed. and 5 games on fox sports.

utter rubbish. What you dot realise is only 1 AFL game a weekend is shown in isolation (Friday night), the other 8 are all shown against another AFL game. The end result is all AFL fans can only realistically watch 5-6 games a weekend, not 9. Therefore in reality the NRL has 25 rounds of 8 games a weekend and the AFL only 22 rounds of 5-6 viewable games a weekend.

So the NRL should be well ahead but actually lose :_<>

St Kilda v Essendon live into Melbourne.
Port v Crows live in to Adelaide.
therefore getting MAX Viewers In Melbourne FTA and Max viewers in Adelaide.
this is also done in PERTH BRISBANE AND SYDNEY>

The NRL only ever does this in one game on Friday night.
and its not always 2 games, sometimes the once.

therefore limiting the Ratings.

Where as I can only watch 5-6 AFL games because I cannot watch 2 at the same time, and my 5 matches would be 15 hours of viewing. And after weve essentially watched the same amount of football each you are counted as 8 watched games and me 5.

Its just not equitable
