The Anzac day figures for the NRL were slightly up on last year - unlike your ratings which seemed to be doing an impersonation of someone falling down a mine shaft.
the fuck you talking about champ.

2014
Friday Afternoon, SFS, Round 7, 2014 - St George Illawarra v Sydney - 38,784 croiwd -
Syd 322, Melb 25, Bris 121, Perth 15 - total 483 metro
+ 281 regional

2015
Saturday Afternoon, SFS, Round 8, 2015 - St George Illawarra v Sydney - 35,110 crowd -
Syd 285, Melb 10, Bris 165, Per 13 - total 473. So down 10k.
Regionals didnt qualify, and the cutoff there was 232 - so down at least 50k there.
In total down a minimum of 60k on last year.
so the NRL's ANZAC day game didnt even reach 705k, while the AFL was 1.34 Mil

Thanks for coming :\:
and
it was 1.64 Mill last year you stupid ch.u.n.t    :_<> :_<> :_<> :(/ :(/ :(/ :(/

fuck me
you haven't got any smarter in your forced exile have you ? :(/ :(/ :(/ :(/
Last year was played on a public holiday, so no one at work and no sport, and only 6 hours of AFL were on TV for the day. This year it was a Saturday and there was 12 hours of AFL on TV. The drop is understandable.

Why was the AFL's game so far ahead of the NRL's? :-k

Your game , like ours was played in an isolated timeslot.

(Look at at our increase in Melbourne - Wow)

1300 ? :_<> :_<> : nurse!
Sat TV #AFL #AFLDonsPies Seven 758k (Syd 52k Mel 431k Bri 55k Ade 106k Per 114k)
Sat STV #AFL #FoxFooty/#FoxSports #AFLDonsPies 296k
Sat Regionals 288

Total 1,342,000

EAD fucker
So
300, 000 down on last year :-k

Yep. The game is no longer played on its own, it's one of 4 games and many fans chose the evening games instead.
   :_<> :_<> :(/ :(/ :(/

so
they just brushed the main game eh ?

nothing else on of course
but....they just brushed it anyway ? :-k

ok
sure
:(/ :(/ :(/ :(/ :(/ :(/
With 12 hours of AFL on many people wouldnt watch it all, they would pick and choose their preferred game. The games in the evening were between 4 top teams which many would have preferred over Ess v Coll when both may very well miss the final 8 this year

it was 800K bigger last year
& 600K this year
& guess what .. the NRL game had all those same factors working against it too ... but its gaining on the VFL's big day ... quickly

the Roosters also are ranked about 6th among the NRL's 9 sides in Sydney
the VFL's combatants are arguably the 2 biggest

if the NRL had put the eels & dogs on Anzac day 13 years ago
the tv ratings would be right up their with the fumbles n derpies

plus the VFL gets its figures from 2 forms of coverage to the NRL's 1

theres no doubt there is a large group of VFL viewers who only watch their football on pay tv
they obviously cannot stand the FTA coverage

guess what
there'd be an even larger group of NRL fans who won't watch ch 9's coverage under any circumstances
when we go simulcast in 2018 .. with one extra game each week
the VFL is going to get smashed in the ratings ...

when? Doesnt make sense. Viewers cant watch two programs at once so when the ratings are counted those watching foxtel are not counted as watching FTA, so the resultant audience is the same

well the only difference for the NRL was played on a Saturday and the postponed match, which explains why their ratings were off. Very dissapointing actually. Barely scraped 700k.

The explanation for the AFLs soft ratings were played on a Saturday, played amongst 4 other games instead of on its own, and a pretty ordinary game.

Every but but but excuse you are making for the pathetic ratings for the vfl
Also apply to the NRL

The vfl got a rise in veiwership when it went simulcast
It allowed it to scrape.. just barely ... above the NRL
Still miles behind RL as a sport though

you may well have, but I was explaining the difference between this years and last years games since thats the part youre focusing on. You also seem to be ignoring our game almost doubled yours in ratings and well over double in crowds. :>::

The AFL went to live telecasts beginning at 7.30pm, that was the reason for the increase, not simulcasting.

You havent explained your theory why simulcasting gives more viewers. All it really does is displace the existing viewers into two mediums

we have represetative football dickhead - get over it

Its why my game make the big bucks - its why your game is slowly bleeding to death - So the big question is which NRL team will you support? the Storm?
