Not good either seeing as they played in the GF last year and it was on a holiday with the show on and they got a few decent crowds against the same mob years ago above 60k and it was their first game of the season.

when have they had 60k v essendon?

Youre being ridiculous. The swans regularly get crowds in this range in wet weather. They then make up for it in decent conditions and end up averaging more than any NRL team in Sydney by quite some margin. Taking a single game in isolation is stupid, but this is you I suppose.

youre comparing a crowd from 2 NRL teams to swans v interstate game though, but you already knew that. When these NRL teams face interstate teams they get crowds that are worse than today, and when wet it drops again

yep, havent seen them get more than 60k v essendon. Not surprising given essendon havent been a decent side since 2001.

Id say swans fans far prefer the SCG. Not sure why they bother playing at ANZ given the SCG is now a larger capacity

Poor Bea, another thread to bump next season when the draw is out and the swans are about to play someone and he comes in a few days or weeks before and tells everyone it's going to be a cracker played in front of a sell out or near capacity just like he does every year and has yet to get one sell out right for the start of the season. It's like clockwork.
