GWS havent exactly set the world on fire sure - but then no one expected them to. No one in an official capacity has ever said that they will explode and take over Sydney that Im aware of.

As for the swans

Repeat after me:

1. More paying members than any other club in Sydney.
2. Larger average crowds than any other club in Sydney
3. highest level of sponsorship of any team in Sydney
4. Higher revenue from football in general than any team in Sydney.

When the AFL and its clubs come to value TV rights above everything else - and that day may come but at present they still make more from non tv broadcast steams - then you can do a fair comparison. theres a reason the NRL is desperately trying to flog memberships and get people to games. You have TV ratings - and thats great Im sure - but theres more to footy than tv.

and it looks like all those people from the tv ratings are slow at signing up & still not showing up to games!
