That’s how many people tuned into Fox Sports to watch the Raiders and Warriors slug it out in the nation’s capital in the unfriendly 6.30pm timeslot.
While viewers switched off, only 8241 fans decided to make their way to GIO Stadium to watch the match.
The NRL scheduled three Sunday evening matches for the opening three rounds, with this weekend’s clash to feature the Gold Coast Titans and Newcastle.
There is a real possibility the crowd and TV ratings cold sink even lower.

a new low ?
there were several games that attracted ratings lower then Sundays game at normal coverage times in 2014
Hell
Ive seen VFL games on pay under 80K

& can someone explain why
8369 in Sydney on a Friday is fine
& 8241 in Canberra on a Sunday night is an...... only

is it because Dill Slothfields team was the Sydney team on the Friday ?

no doubt the 6.30pm kickoff time is not good
no families there at Canberra stadium on Sunday with school the following day
but its March
and playing that game at 2pm in potential 35c heat isn't ideal either
so unfavourable time slots are there for player safety reasons
anyway
its obvious our little fumblederpers are upset with raider for telling it like it is about themselves & their pathetic sport
& they didn't like it

Don't know if Sunday night will work, I suppose it could suit one team more than another, maybe they should look into it before scrapping it.

29,000 up the road for a local derby in a stadium that can hold 80,000 and where half the fans get free entry? Whilst Wanderers play an interstate team. Yea you really should be crowing about that
