Good ratings in Melbourne for both opening games.

Yet as usual I keep asking myself why the NRL doesn't have the Storm playing on one of these nights at home beamed into Victoria while there is no AFL on? Both games got at least 70k in Vic, the Storm if playing definitely would have added more, it doesn't make sense any way you look at it from growing your brand to the channel itself getting as much bang for their buck..

I ask myself the same question.
the whole of March 4 rounds of football no AFL
the Melbourne storm will only play in Melbourne once.
If they are shown on Friday night on Channel 9 they could easily get 200k ratings for the storm with no competition.

but no the NRL has scheduled only the once on a Saturday against the SHARKS..

and once the AFL starts they will play back to back games in Melbourne, makes no sense.

it really is bad Management by the NRL once again.

One thing tv ratings have taught me is, 1 rl undersells itself and 2 rl is not very good at self promotion and it's broadcasters don't help.
