Looks like the FFA are supporting the Mardi gras and looking to go a step further. Well done FFA

Re: AFL set to launch gay pride game
how does anyone here know if an AFL player has come out to their own circle of friends and teammates rather than the media?. Its fairly well known a recent Essendon ruckman is gay yet hasnt made a song and dance about it in the media

Simple really .
The AFlol do not miss an opportunity to brag ,boast ,boost their image etc about something as big as a player coming out .
They would be beating their chests announcing how tolerant ,how diverse ,how BLAH blah they are .
Milk it for all its worth .
Just like they do with the indigenous players .
Indigenous rd ,multicultural BLAH blah .
Yet they have had unwritten one white parent rule .
Officials telling racist jokes & getting away with it .
Open your eyes boy ,everything is about the image ,the perception of how wonderful they are ,& if a player came out you could bet your life they would milk it unashamedly .
TLPG
liar extraordinaire

Re: AFL set to launch gay pride game
its a players choice to make their sexuality known to the wider public, not the AFL's

More and more the normal straight humans are being kicked to the side and made to feel different because of all this shit being shoved in our faces, wtf is wrong with the world, it takes a man and a woman to pro create naturally yet these days it's looking to be on the outer.
The whole world is fucking nuts.
There, I said the truth.

Re: AFL set to launch gay pride game
Rugby League does not need to pander to minority groups to get a following like AFL.
Ian Roberts came out and was never an issue to League fans. He more than proved himself as still being one the toughest players ever and was still respected.
RUGBY LEAGUE IS ABOUT SPORT, NOT SOMEONES HOMOSEXUALITY LIKE AFL WANT TO CELEBRATE. If someone is gay so what, that is their business.
I seriously think this is maybe why AFL got rid of their cheergirls.

Re: AFL set to launch gay pride game
one of our players featured at the mardi gras on one of the first floats with some other athletes from other codes, we've also got quite a few openly gay lads that are some of the best supporters a club could ask for
i couldnt care less if they're gay or not. its their choice but at the same time i dont see anything wrong with gay people wanting to celebrate it. religions the world over celebrate their own holy days multiple times a year

Got nothing to do with the subject.The_Wookie wrote:We'll bear that in mind next time you trash the soccer folks when they bring up their overseas following.ParraEelsNRL wrote:Rugby league is not just Australia thank you very much.
Oh, and I'll bash anything I don't like, you can get all shitty because your code is the one pandering and you are the one crying because it's stuck in Australia.

Re: AFL set to launch gay pride game
When people start to fuck on the pitch and it's worth points for my team, I may take an interest, but sex has nothing whatsofuckingever to do with anything I watch when the footy is on.
Get it, it's like religion and politics, they should not cross paths and ever mix.

uwotm8? seriously?
not having a go at you...but i have no idea what you're talking about in the first part of your post
as for the second, i tend to agree. but this is a democratic society and people will take advantage of anything that will garner more attention
