We hosted an Asian cup, brought millions to the economy, days away from announcing a new international sponsor, 14million profit for the organizing commitee and FFA from the tournament. A legacy at grass roots. World cup qualifier rights about to be sold on the back of that success. The benefits go and on.Raiderdave wrote:overseas ratings count when they add value to your sport wankersydneyfc wrote:Haha so overseas ratings only count when you don't want to cop a hiding from soccer.

The a-league is shown live in the UK, Italy Germanym, china, India, the us, all throughout south east Asia. At least 1 game per round or comprehensive highlights is televised in nearly 70 countries.
The NRL has a highlight show and a couple games televised late night in the UK that has weaker ratings per capita than then a league in the UK

Football is a great sport, but your Asian cup is just full of second rate teams. All lowly ranked and not taken seriously. :_<> :_<>sydneyfc wrote:Oh I dunno, over 100m who watched the final and the 800m total audience for the entire tournamentAFLsforPussies wrote:
