Facts are facts though, AFL is still too crap to actually get a proper team in Canberra. Australia's game and still no team in it own capital :(/

why would they want to in that depressing shit hole of a place. given the raiders can hardly make a dollar down there & have such a shite low minnow following, why would the AFL want to? given an AFL team has much higher operating costs as well..

GWS play there part time thats enough for the AFL.

so lets get back on track how unwanted the little minnow raiders are, no money, no fans, no members :>::
Australian sporting sponsorship
AFL excess of $50m
A league $30 million plus
ARU $27 million
NRLOL $25 million

Leagueiscrap, the AFL should be going hell for leather for Canberra. The Raiders are ripe to be plucked. It's time they were properly challenged. If they survive then they deserve to be supported.

"A dismal season on the field for the NRL operation last year was matched by below-par financial performance, slumping to a loss of more than $220,000 on revenues of almost $12 million, including nearly $2 million in cash and in-kind benefits from the ACT government"
add in around 6 million from the NRL commission from the distribution

"But the Raiders' parent group, The Canberra District Rugby League Football Club Ltd, enjoyed cash-flows last year of almost $50 million and healthy profits of $3.6 million"

so around 6 million from the NRL
nearly 2 million from the ACT
thats around 4 million from sponsorships, members & crowd revenue.

they are unwanted!
consider minnow teams of the AFL North Melbourne & Stkilda are turning over 30 million in revenue total, 9 odd million from AFL distribution & 20 plus million from Football related income!

you do the maths
15 million from football revenue
59 million from non football revenue

74 Million in turnover in 2014

even more then ol dumbos Essenscum :\: :\: :\: :\: :\:

A city near the coast with virtually no decent surfing beaches and a dirty brown river running through the middle :(/

The fact you think the AFL have canberra and the raiders in their site to obliterate as you stated shows you know absolutely nothing.

My prediction for 2015

Raiders to receive wooden spoon
Attendance average to drop to 7k
4k members

So far all my predictions are on course :D
