Yah I see your point.

But still the whole thing stinks. Yes he was suspended for drug use, but he never tested positive AND other players from other clubs have always been able to hide behind the 3 strikes rule.

Another disadvantage for Cousins is that he does come from a football mad town and everyone knows everyones business there...but the bottom line is, the guy has a drug problem, which if not addressed will ruin his life forever..and just because he goes to rehab once, doesnt mean hes cured.

Would any club still be interested in Cousins after 12 months out of the game? Would you as a fan support your club recruiting him?

He would be a bit of a risk. He will be in his thirties. But, I guess if he is the extra ingredient that puts you over the top to get a premiership he would be worth considering. If he plays this year in the WAFL his fitness should be still pretty good, it's where his head is at that is concerning.

I would still lean towards no.
