104,000 playing rugby league. How pathetic. Of those 104,000 I wonder how many have been convicted of violent crimes? 5%, 15%?

In terms of crimes, the percentage would likely be similar to General society depending on their socioeconomic backgrounds. In terms of violence I'd suggest the rl fellas wouldn't be much different given they have a violent outlet on the field. In fact for many whom grow up with violence sports such as rl and boxing is a pathway to a healthy non violent lifestyle.post_hoc wrote:104,000 playing rugby league. How pathetic. Yeah we'll strangely enough, I have more respect for ignorant trolls as yourself than a paid advertisement this piece of shit embarks on every day with a pay packet, people like him are the reason the worlds morals are at an all time low, if the media are allowed to lie and get away with it just to make some money, why not everyone else?

Happy for you to do so, socio economic is an interesting viewpoint, but I don't believe it can be the only answer, the data of course is vbiased because of the media (if they weren't professional sports people would it get reported) plus perpetuating myth, violence = violence. Football suffers the same with crowd violence, the issue is actually significantly lower than other sports especially cricket. But there is a higher amount of violent behaviour from NRL players than other professional sports.King-Eliagh wrote:In terms of crimes, the percentage would likely be similar to General society depending on their socioeconomic backgrounds. The age old argument is blokes too young, too much money, too much time, and no other responsible outlet (job, study etc)
